Soft stuffed pork

Treat yourself to these succulent stuffed pork chops, featuring a savory herb-infused stuffing that adds a delightful burst of flavor to every bite.

Ingredients:

Ingredients for the pork chops:

- 4 thick-cut pork chops (at least 1.5 inches thick), boneless or bone-in

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon dried sage

- 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Ingredients for the stuffing:

- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs

- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

- ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

- ¼ cup chopped onion

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 tablespoons butter

- ¼ cup chicken or vegetable broth

- Salt and black pepper to taste

- ½ apple, finely diced

- Pinch of dried sage

- Pinch of dried oregano

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 190°C (375°F) to preheat.

2. Prepare the Stuffing: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the onions, apples, and garlic until soft. Let them cool slightly. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, dried sage, dried oregano, and sautéed mixture in a mixing bowl. Slowly add broth to moisten the stuffing.

3. Prepare the Pork Chops: Make a pocket in each pork chop by cutting horizontally into the side. Stuff each chop generously with the stuffing mixture and secure the openings with toothpicks.

4. Sear the Pork Chops: Heat olive oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the stuffed pork chops for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5. Transfer to the Oven: If using an ovenproof skillet, transfer it directly to the preheated oven. Otherwise, transfer the chops to a baking dish. Bake uncovered for 12-15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

6. Rest and Serve: Let the stuffed pork chops rest for a few minutes, covered with foil, before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or pan juices. Enjoy the flavorful and tender result of your efforts!

These soft stuffed pork chops are perfect for a special dinner or any occasion when you crave a delicious and comforting meal.
