Ingredients:
- 100g butter
- 100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 4 eggs
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl wheat flour
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter and break the dark chocolate into small pieces. Place the chocolate pieces in a bowl and pour the hot butter over them. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the chocolate has melted. Stir together.
2. Lightly whisk the eggs and sugar together. Add the chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Sift in the wheat flour and stir until you have a smooth, lump-free batter.
3. Grease the inside of 6 small metal rings with butter and dust them with flour. Place them on a small tray lined with baking paper. Fill each ring with batter until they are 3/4 full. Place the tray in the freezer for at least two hours before baking.
4. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the rings with the batter on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake them on the bottom rack for approximately 15 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on your oven, so it's a good idea to test bake one cake first to gauge the timing.
5. Carefully remove the cakes from the oven and, if necessary, use a sharp, small knife to loosen them from the rings. Be gentle to avoid tearing the cakes. Use a spatula to transfer the cakes to plates.
6. Sprinkle the cakes with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh raspberries before serving.
Enjoy the rich, molten decadence of Granny J's Ultimate Lava Cake. Serve it up with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a handful of fresh raspberries for a delightful finish to any meal.
Bon appétit!
