Cinnamon rolls

There's nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls wafting through the kitchen. These soft and fluffy rolls, filled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar mixture and topped with a creamy glaze, are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet treat any time of day. This recipe is a beloved favourite in Granny J's kitchen, where the warmth of the rolls matches the warmth of the memories made while enjoying them.

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

- 120 ml of water

- 2 spoons of sugar

- 50 grams of yeast

- 450 ml of warm milk

- 2 eggs

- 1 teaspoon of salt

- 100 grams of sugar

- 50 grams of butter

- 650-750 grams of flour

For the Filling:

- A few spoons of milk

- Yellow sugar

- Cinnamon

For the Glaze:

- 150 grams of powdered sugar

- Vanilla

- Milk

Instructions:

1. In warm water with two spoons of sugar, put the yeast to rise.

2. Knead the dough with the other ingredients. Let it double in size.

3. Divide the dough into two parts for two rolls. Roll out the dough on a floured surface, coat it with milk, and sprinkle with yellow sugar and cinnamon.

4. Wrap it into a roll and cut it into 10 parts. Repeat with the second part of the dough.

5. Arrange them in a baking tray so that they barely touch each other. Leave them to rise again.

6. Bake at 200°C (390°F) until golden brown.

7. Cool the baked rolls for 5-10 minutes, then coat them with glaze.

8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and vanilla, then add a little milk to get a thick consistency.

Enjoy the delightful aroma and taste of these homemade cinnamon rolls. They're perfect for sharing with loved ones or indulging in a sweet moment for yourself. Happy baking!
